1. Commitment to Net Zero

Amari Rae FDN CIC is committed to the NHS’s net zero goal by 2045, per the NHS Net Zero

Supplier Roadmap. We’ll minimize emissions from Southwark school engagement services

and Kent admin duties, focusing on Scope 1 (now zero with EV) and Scope 2 (electricity)

during the contract term (March 3, 2025–August 2, 2026).

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

2024 (Pre-Switch):

o Scope 1 – Petrol Car: 10,920 miles (70% of 15,600) in a 1.5L VW T-Roc at 0.233 kg

CO2e/mile = 2,544.36 kg CO2e.

o Scope 2 – Electricity: 526.25 kWh (25% of 2,105) at 0.2 kg CO2e/kWh = 105.25 kg

CO2e.

Total: 2,649.61 kg CO2e (~2,650 kg).

2025 (Post-Switch):

o Scope 1: 0 kg (EV switch).

o Scope 2: 1,026.25 kWh (526.25 office + 500 EV charging) at 0.2 kg CO2e/kWh

= 205.25 kg CO2e.

3. Current Emissions Reduction Actions

o Switched to an electric car (pre-2025), eliminating Scope 1 emissions.

o Reduced travel to 1,000 miles/year (Southwark-only) from 10,920 miles.

o Admin office uses minimal energy (25% of home electricity).

4. Emissions Reduction Targets

Reduce 2025 Scope 2 emissions by 30% from 205.25 kg CO2e to 143.68 kg CO2e (~62 kg

reduction) by August 2, 2026:

• EV switch already cut 2024 emissions by ~92% (2,650 kg to 205 kg); this adds further

progress.

5. Carbon Reduction Initiatives

1. Renewable Energy Tariff:

o Switch office and EV charging to a 100% renewable tariff (e.g., Octopus

Energy).

o Impact: Reduces Scope 2 to ~10 kg CO2e (1,026.25 kWh x ~0.01 kg/kWh

residual, 95% offset).

o Timeline: By June 30, 2025.

2. Energy Efficiency:

o Cut office use by 10% (e.g., 52.6 kWh savings = 10.5 kg CO2e if non-

renewable).

o Timeline: Start March 2025.

3. Virtual Engagement:

o Increase virtual sessions by 30%, reducing EV miles to ~700/year (350 kWh

charging = 7 kg CO2e if renewable).

o Timeline: By September 2025.

Total Reduction: ~195 kg (to ~10 kg CO2e with renewable tariff), exceeding the 62 kg target.

6. Monitoring and Reporting

Tracking: Log EV miles (car’s trip computer) and electricity (bills/meter, 25% business).

Reporting:

o Evergreen Supplier Assessment (e.g., March 31, 2026).

o Schedule 5 (e.g., March 31, 2026).

Responsibility: Aaron Johnson.

7. Governance and Approval

o Approval: Approved by Aaron Johnson on April 8, 2025.

o Public Availability: Published at www.amariraefdn.co.uk

o Review: Updated annually or as required.

8. Declaration

We commit to net zero via our EV switch and renewable energy, reporting progress

transparently.

Signed: A.Johnson
